We collect only what you give us. We use it to run the site. We don't sell your data, we don't track you around the internet, and we don't show you ads. That's it.
What we collect
Account information: Your email address, display name, and either your BlueSky handle or Google account ID (depending on how you sign in). We need this to create and manage your account.
Content you create: Bands, venues, events, follows, upvotes, and profile pictures you upload. This is the stuff that makes the site useful.
Preferences: Your genre and neighborhood filters so we can show you relevant events.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data to anyone. Ever.
We don't use tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or ad networks.
We don't share your information with third parties for marketing.
We don't build advertising profiles about you.
Cookies
We use a single authentication cookie (a JWT token stored in your browser's local storage) to keep you logged in. No tracking cookies, no third-party cookies, no cookie banners because there's nothing to consent to.
Third-party services
BlueSky (AT Protocol): If you sign in with BlueSky, we use their OAuth flow to verify your identity. We store your handle but don't access your BlueSky posts or social graph.
Google: If you sign in with Google, we use their OAuth flow to verify your identity. We receive your name and email — nothing else.
Amazon Web Services: Our servers and image storage run on AWS. Your uploaded images are stored in a private S3 bucket and served through CloudFront.
Your data, your call
Want your data deleted? Reach out at hello@comesee.me and we'll remove your account and all associated content. We're a small team and we'll handle it personally.
Changes
If we ever change this policy, we'll update this page. But our stance is simple and unlikely to change: your data is yours, not ours to monetize.
